When The "Check-Engine" Light Comes On, What Does It Mean?

When the Check-Engine light comes on in your car, it means that the computer which controls your engine has detected some kind of problem in the computer control system and has stored a "Diagnostic Trouble Code" (DTC) which identifies the fault it has detected.

Check Engine light is triggered by the on-board diagnostics (OBD) system which monitors a vast array of ignition, fuel system, engine and other operating parameters, affecting overall performance, gas mileage and/or emissions.

AFS will not only tell you why the Check Engine light is on, we will tell you how to fix the problem and turn the light off when the test is completed.

This is an easy, quick, and safe way to diagnose a solution to your car problems!
